What have I been up to?

Oh, you know, the usual…
Actually these past few weeks have seen me begin the ever-so-delightful/stressful part of applying to shows, solidifying the Spring/Summer tour, ordering my catalogs to be printed, researching new display ideas, trying to keep up on Etsy, trying to stay active in the Etsy teams Im now proud to be a part of, loading up on stock, ordering assloads of raw materials that I’ve officially run out of room for…oh and working my part time job.
It seems like this past week was all about spending money on little “necessities.” I needed to order a new imprinter plate for my knucklebuster (credit card swiper) and get a new stamp for my bags because both had my (now) obsolete website address on them. Again not totally necessary purchases but on the other hand, essential at developing the brand.
I’ve had some setbacks, too. The etsy experiment looks like it’s cooled off, the tables that I ordered are out of stock until June, and oh, one of my sales reps decided to back out after I ordered the catalogs he requested. Sigh.
I’ve also been toying with the idea of staying at my day job one more month…I definitely do NOT want to do that but it seems more practical, especially because I’ve got so many booth fees to pay for if I get into all of these shows. It’s a huge setback for me, mentally and emotionally, but I know its the more responsible thing to do.
I still want to whine about it, though.
