Handmade Brooklyn started out as a guide to local crafters in everyones favorite borough…but I suck at blogging regularly. Sometime in 2010 it evolved into my personal blog, cataloging my life as an entrepreneur trying to cut out a spot for myself in Brooklyn and supporting myself solely through my little company, Metropolis Soap Co. I hope you enjoy reading about my surprising achievements and embarrassing defeats. I promise to keep posting about my experiences for as long as you promise to keep reading about them.

My ultimate goal, other than remaining self-employed, is to maybe inspire someone else to make the leap. It’s not easy, it’s not fast, but it’s worth every step you take. Don’t worry, we’ll do it together.
